School Council is our governing body which ensures that Hastings Primary School keeps moving onwards and upwards in providing excellence in teaching and learning for our students.

In order to attend this meeting you must be an elected member.

We have been calling for nominations for 4 parent positions and 2 Department of Education positions. These nominations closed on Wednesday 6th March.

This months meeting will be the opportunity to elect these positions along with working towards improving school achievement and well being for all students.

Much of the School Council’s work is organised through the two active sub-committees:

1. Facilities, Environment and Major Projects
2. Financial and Education and Policy

The School Council and its sub-committees work enthusiastically to develop key strategies and action plans to focus on.
